  Beijing Valve General Factory Co., Ltd., formerly known as Beijing Valve General Factory, proudly houses the Beijing Valve Research Institute. Established in 1952, it stands as a key flagship enterprise under China’s National Ministry of Machinery Industry, specializing in the manufacturing of high- and medium-pressure valves and steam traps since the founding of New China. The company is also recognized as one of China’s Top 500 Mechanical Enterprises. It serves as a Vice Chairman unit of the National Valve Industry Association, a member unit of the National Valve Standardization Technical Committee, a committee member of the Valve Committee under the State Administration for Market Regulation, a director unit of the China Special Equipment Safety and Energy Conservation Promotion Association, and a reputable "Contract-Honoring and Trustworthy" enterprise in Beijing. Additionally, it has been honored as a Model Unit for Integrity-Based Business Practices and holds the distinction of being a national-level High-Tech Enterprise and a Beijing-based Technological Innovation Enterprise—earning it the prestigious AAA rating for both contract adherence and quality assurance.   The company was initially established in Lugouqiao, Fengtai District, Beijing. At its peak before restructuring, it employed over 3,700 workers. In 2004, the company initiated a corporate reform and relocated entirely to the Panggezhuang Industrial Development Zone, located on the west side of the Jingkai Expressway in Daxing District, Beijing, occupying an area of 200 mu. In 2016, the company actively embraced the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integrated Development Strategy and the national call to relocate non-capital functions, as proposed by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. As a result, it accepted investment invitations from both the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Government, as well as the Handan Municipal Party Committee and Government, successfully moving into the Handan Northern Valve Industry Park. This facility now serves as the production base for Beifa Valve Group Co., Ltd. The new production base spans 500 mu, with a total construction area of 195,000 square meters and a total investment of 820 million yuan. It boasts an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons and currently employs 1,228 people, including 26 mid-to-senior level managers, 119 engineering and technical personnel, 87 quality control specialists, 782 production workers, 153 sales staff, and 61 logistics and support personnel. The Handan production base is equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities tailored to various product lines, such as intelligent manufacturing workshops for ball valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, and forged steel valves, along with smart precision casting and forging units. Additionally, the site houses a provincial-level inspection and testing center. In May 2019, the Beijing-based production facilities and several functional management departments were relocated to the Handan production base, making this company a prime example of collaborative development under the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration initiative. Today, the company operates with a strategic structure that positions Beijing as its headquarters while relying on Handan as its primary production hub.

II. Main product categories produced by the company:

  Gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, steam traps, oxygen valves, emergency shut-off valves, plug valves, piston valves, hydraulic control valves, ultra-low-temperature valves, control valves, molten-salt valves—along with track-mounted ball valves and hydrogen-specific valves. Additionally, domestically produced nickel-based alloy flat gate valves, ball valves, and globe valves are available. Specialized valves for oil production trees, long-distance pipeline ball valves and flat gate valves, as well as high-temperature, high-pressure power plant valves, are also part of the product lineup. Furthermore, large-scale butterfly valves and ball valves designed specifically for hydropower and water conservancy projects, along with internally surfaced weld valves, complete the extensive range. This comprehensive offering comprises 10 major categories, encompassing 518 series and 2,918 distinct specifications and models. Operating pressures range from 1.0 MPa to 76 MPa, with pressure classes spanning from Class 150 lb to Class 4500 lb. Operating temperatures vary widely, from -196°C to 800°C. Materials used include carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex steel, alloy steel, heat-resistant steel, Monel alloy, titanium alloy, and nickel-based alloys. Control options include manual, gear-driven, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automatic mechanisms. The company’s flagship products adhere to national standards such as GB, industry standards like JB, as well as international benchmarks including API, ANSI, JIS, DIN, and BS. III. Company-manufactured production equipment:

  We have 435 general-purpose machines and 195 CNC machine tools, including 94 CNC machining centers, 6 CNC ball mills, 16 sets of fully automated welding equipment, 2 plasma spray-welding systems, supersonic coating equipment, 6 large-scale heat treatment units, and 6 sets of surface shot blasting systems. Additionally, there are 5 automated paint-spraying production lines—all of which fully meet the process requirements for valve manufacturing and production.
IV. Company’s Quality Testing Capabilities:

  We have 168 units of various inspection and testing equipment, fully equipped for performing metal material performance tests and non-metallic material aging resistance experiments. Our capabilities include material spectral analysis for chemical composition testing, as well as advanced tests such as tensile strength evaluation, low-temperature impact testing, metallographic analysis, and intergranular corrosion detection. Additionally, we can assess the performance characteristics of steam traps, measure the flow capacity of emergency shut-off valves, evaluate the sealing performance and structural integrity of general-purpose valves, and conduct flow testing on relevant equipment. Our systems are designed to handle maximum test pressures up to 150 MPa and accommodate pipe diameters as large as DN5600. Furthermore, we boast state-of-the-art ultra-low-temperature treatment facilities capable of operating at -196°C, along with comprehensive cryogenic testing equipment. We also feature helium leak-detection systems that enable precise simulations of high-temperature conditions up to 650°C for rigorous type-testing purposes.

V. Company's Casting and Forging Production Equipment and Capacity:

  We have a casting and forging production capacity of 110,000 tons, equipped with advanced precision casting technologies including low-temperature wax composite processes, medium-temperature wax silica sol precision casting, coated sand shell molding, large-diameter sand mold casting lines, and lost-foam vacuum casting systems. For sand casting, we operate five 8-ton medium-frequency furnaces, 14 two-ton medium-frequency furnaces, and six one-ton medium-frequency furnaces. Additionally, we’re supported by five large-scale heat treatment units, eight high-capacity shot blasting machines, as well as acid passivation and phosphating anti-corrosion systems. Our facilities are further enhanced with state-of-the-art melting and inspection equipment, such as the German SPECTRO direct-reading spectrometer and carbon-silicon analyzers. We also maintain a comprehensive array of quality control tools, including various hardness testers, material testing machines, physicochemical analyzers, magnetic particle flaw detectors, radiographic flaw detectors, ultrasonic flaw detectors, and wall thickness gauges—all designed to ensure the highest standards of cast component integrity and performance.


  1. Company’s Precision Casting Division: With an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons, we primarily manufacture castings for national standard valves ranging from DN50 to DN500, as well as American-standard gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, and other valve components—available in sizes from 2 inches to 20 inches. Additionally, we can produce pump bodies, pump housings, and a wide range of mechanical parts and components.
  2. Coated Sand Casting Section: Annual production capacity of 8,000 tons, primarily producing small-caliber valve castings.
  3. Lost-foam Casting Division: With an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons, this division primarily manufactures large-diameter butterfly valve castings, while also capable of producing various types of mechanical components and spare parts.
  4. Sand Casting Production Line: Annual production capacity of 40,000 tons. Primarily manufactures large-diameter valve castings, including gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, and butterfly valves—mainly for high-temperature, high-pressure power plant valves, refining & chemical hydrogenation valves, and nuclear power valves—while also catering to various high-end construction machinery and mining equipment components.

  In May 2012 and March 2018, to meet the demands of the service market, the company established maintenance service centers at the Puguang Gas Field in Sichuan and the Quanzhou Chemical Industrial Park in Fujian, respectively. The facilities cover areas of 10,000㎡ and 5,000㎡, respectively, and are equipped with 80 sets of machinery and equipment, including machining tools, CNC machines, sandblasting units, and inspection/testing devices. The company offers a comprehensive one-stop service encompassing valve sales, valve repair, installation and commissioning, operational guidance, as well as on-site emergency repairs and maintenance.
