1. Use

The fully welded ball valve for heating is a valve product designed and developed by Beifa Company for the use characteristics of urban heating systems, water supply and gas supply of thermal power pipe networks, petroleum, petrochemical, natural gas, pharmaceutical, refrigeration and other fields.

As a switch-off device, the valve body adopts a fully welded structure formed by forging, steel pipe or steel plate pressing. There are two structures: full-diameter and reduced-diameter. The valve seat structure adopts the design of piston effect and wear compensation. The sealing structure is designed as a double-channel seal or a three-channel (double soft sealing ring and metal) seal, even in the case of unstable pressure, the valve remains tight and leak-free and operates stably for a long time.The ball valve has the advantages of small size, light weight, sealing without leakage, no maintenance, long service life and easy operation.

2. Characteristics
2.1 Easy to open and close quickly

Just rotate the sphere (opening and closing piece) by 90° to open and close, which is very convenient and fast.

2.2 Good sealing

Usually fully welded ball valve seats are made of elastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene and rubber, which form a three-way seal with the metal sealing pair, and the sealing performance is reliable.Usually, fully welded ball valves are soft-sealed. Generally speaking, the tightness of soft-sealed valves is easier to guarantee.

2.3 Long life

Due to the good self-lubricating properties of polytetrafluoroethylene, the friction and wear with the ball is small, and due to the improvement of the ball valve processing technology, the surface roughness of the ball is reduced. At the same time, the valve seat structure adopts piston effect and wear compensation design, thereby improving the service life of the ball valve.

2.4 High reliability

The reliability of this fully welded ball valve is mainly due to: a, a pair of sealing pairs between the ball (high surface accuracy) and the soft-sealed valve seat will not cause abrasions, sharp wear and other failures; b, the valve stem should be built-in, eliminating the valve stem under the action of fluid pressure may be due to the loosening of the packing gland and fly out of the hidden dangers of accidents; c, the valve body and the auxiliary valve body are fully welded and sealed structure, eliminating the hidden dangers of accidents caused by media leakage.

5. Structure, working principle, main material

The ball valve is mainly composed of a valve body, a secondary valve body, a sphere, a valve stem, a sealing ring, a valve seat, etc.

5.2 Working principle

This type of ball valve applies a certain torque to the stem with the help of a handle or other drive device, and transmits it to the sphere to rotate it by 90°. The through hole of the sphere coincides or is perpendicular to the center line of the valve body channel, and the ball valve completes the full opening or full closing action, closing clockwise and opening counterclockwise.

The ball, valve seat and valve stem are important internal parts of the ball valve, which need to withstand the corrosion of the medium, and the material selection is essential.Generally, for ball valves, the sealing ring adopts soft sealing material, and the operating temperature is limited.Metal hard-sealed ball valve, the valve seat is made of corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant metal, which can withstand higher temperatures, and the machining accuracy of the ball is very high. It must be corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and surface treated.

6. Selection

The main consideration is the use of working conditions and operating requirements. There are many varieties and specifications of fully welded closed ball valves. The appropriate fully welded closed ball valve should be selected according to the working conditions (such as working medium, operating pressure, operating temperature, pipeline diameter, etc.) and installation and operation requirements (such as connection method, drive method, etc.).

6.1 Pressure and temperature level

The pressure and temperature level of the fully welded closed ball valve is specified in GB 12224, which is one of the main benchmarks for the design and selection of valves.Therefore, when choosing a ball valve, the material (referring to the housing) and pressure level (referring to the nominal pressure) of the selected ball valve must be determined by the operating pressure and operating temperature, pressing force and temperature level.If the operating temperature and pressure are overloaded, the valve may be damaged.When choosing valves, various working conditions should be fully considered to avoid overloaded operation of the valves.

7. Precautions

7.1 Due to the special design of the north valve heating fully welded ball valve, its maintenance workload is very limited.

7.2 Maintenance work only includes the replacement of the O-rings and gaskets on the packing box and gland.

7.3 These maintenance tasks can be carried out online. There is no need to remove the valve from the pipeline, but note that you need to follow the instructions in this manual to discharge the residual pressure or medium in the valve cleanly.

7.4 If the problem occurs inside the valve, please consult the supplier for maintenance.

8. Installation

8.1 Before leaving the factory, the ball valve has been inspected in accordance with relevant standards and various performance tests have met the standard requirements, and the oil and debris inside and outside the valve chamber have been removed, and all ball valves have been sealed with seals to block the import and export channels.

8.2 Before installation, carefully check whether the operating conditions are consistent with the performance parameters of the valve design.

8.3 If the user has special requirements for the material of the valve, it should be described in detail in the order.

8.4 Before installation, remove the seals at both ends of the inlet and outlet, carefully check the valve cavity and the inner parts such as the ball, valve seat and valve stem for dirt attachment, and scrub the two sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat.

8.5 Fix the ball valve on the pipeline according to the designed connection method, and the valve body should not be subjected to greater tensile, compression, bending or twisting stress when firmly connected.

8.6 When the medium used is explosive, valves and pipelines should be grounded in accordance with relevant regulations to prevent static electricity, combustion and explosion.

8.7 The welded connection valve should be installed on the pipeline with a stable support device to protect the valve and the pipeline (as shown in the figure below), reduce the vibration of the pipeline, and avoid additional forces acting on the valve.

9. Operation and maintenance

9.1.Use operation

9.1.1 For the applicable pressure and temperature of the valve, please refer to the valve material temperature and pressure gauge or consult the company's research institute.

9.1.2 This type of fully welded ball valve has various drive types such as worm gear transmission, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric.Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric drive devices are installed above the ball valve.

9.1.3 Unless otherwise specified, rotating the stem clockwise is to close the valve, and rotating the stem counterclockwise is to open the valve. The opening and closing operation of the ball valve can be achieved by rotating the stem 90o.

9.1.4 When the wrench is in a straight line with the pipeline, the ball valve is in the open state; on the contrary, when the wrench is perpendicular to the pipeline, the ball valve is in the closed state.

9.1.5 When the valve opening and closing torque is large, the extended handle cannot be used to forcibly open and close.

9.1.6 The ball valve cannot be used as a regulating valve, and the valve can only be in a fully open or fully closed state.

9.2 Maintenance and maintenance
9.2.1 The heating fully welded airtight ball valve should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and open storage is not allowed.The channel ports at both ends are sealed with seals to prevent debris from entering.

9.2.2 When stored, the ball valve should be in a fully open state to protect the sealing ring and the sealing surface of the ball.

9.2.3 Long-term storage of fully welded airtight ball valves should be checked regularly to remove dirt from the inner cavity and apply anti-rust grease to the processed surface.

9.2.4 The in-service ball valve installed and operated on the pipeline should be checked regularly for normal operation.Small faults found should be eliminated in time, and if there are larger faults, they should be removed and sent to the company for maintenance.

9.2.5 When there is a medium in the ball valve, especially if it is toxic or harmful, it is strictly forbidden to replace or add fillers, and it is strictly forbidden to disassemble any parts on the valve and loosen any fasteners, otherwise it may cause injuries and accidents.

9.2.6 The user shall calculate the service life of the valve body according to the annual corrosion rate of the valve body material of different operating media. Once the service life is exceeded, the valve must be replaced.
